LINk BoardDuring 2009 the Interim Steering Group completed the tasks that they set out to achieve, with the goverance framework complete and signed off a postal election of members took place, following which the LINk Board came into office on 21st July 2009. The LINk Board sits at the heart of Wolverhampton LINk, its job is to oversee, steering and provide support enabling the work of the LINk to be carried out efficiently and line with its core values (See 10 Principles of Public Life Appendix .3.) through individual and group working. The Board is responsible for: - Prioritisng work schedules, allocating resources and approving reports produced by LINk individuals and working groups.
- The Board also ensures that as far as possible the views of individuals and groups from the City of Wolverhampton are fairly represented and reflected in the work carried out by LINk.
- Communication with the public, other relevant organisations and the media will be the responsiblity of the Board.
- The establishment of working groups, committees and sub committees as follows:
Goverance Sub Committee LINk Board Lead - Brian GriffithsTo advise the Board on matters relating to goverance with particular reference to LINk policies and procedures. Publicity and Membership Sub Committee LINk Board Leads - Claire Thornton and Shivali BhataraTo review and encourage membership. The development of a publicity strategy and establishment of a procedure for communicating with both the membership and the media. Finace and Reporting LINk Board Leads - Brian Griffiths (Finance) - Fatima Ndanusa (Reporting)To monitor, advise on expenditure requirements, develop procedures for out of pocket expenses such as travel and carer and oversee the timely completion of the Annual Report. Work Plan Monitoring LINk Board Lead - Patricia BurtonTo monitor, direct and action Work Plan progress, to review feedback about health and social care services received from our members, the public and organisations and receive relevant feeback from strategic Boards and Meetings.
